B ut the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they didn’t walk in my statutes, and they rejected my ordinances, which if a man keep, he shall live in them; and my Sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them in the wilderness, to consume them.

Por shtëpia e Izraelit u rebelua kundër meje në shkretëtirë; nuk eci sipas statuteve të mia dhe hodhi poshtë dekretet e mia, duke respektuar të cilat njeriu do të jetojë për ato, dhe përdhosën me të madhe të shtunat e mia. Kështu unë vendosa të hedh mbi ta zemërimin tim për ti zhdukur në shkretëtirë.
