T he couriers went out in haste by the king’s commandment, and the decree was given out in the citadel of Susa. The king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city of Shushan was perplexed.

Salieron los correos apremiados por la orden del rey. El decreto fue promulgado (fue dado al pueblo) en la fortaleza de Susa, y mientras el rey y Amán se sentaron a beber, la ciudad de Susa estaba turbada.
