W hen the king heard the saying of the man of God, which he cried against the altar in Bethel, Jeroboam put out his hand from the altar, saying, “Seize him!” His hand, which he put out against him, dried up, so that he could not draw it back again to himself.

Y aconteció que cuando el rey oyó la palabra que el hombre de Dios había clamado contra el altar de Betel, extendió su mano desde el altar, diciendo: ¡Prendedlo! Pero la mano que extendió contra él se secó, de modo que no podía volverla hacia sí.
