G o in to king David, and tell him, ‘Didn’t you, my lord, king, swear to your servant, saying, “Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne?” Why then does Adonijah reign?’

Va’, entra dal re Davide e digli: “O re, mio signore, non giurasti alla tua serva, dicendo: ‘Salomone, tuo figlio, regnerà dopo di me, sedendo sul mio trono’? Perché dunque regna Adonia?”
