D avid said on that day, “Whoever strikes the Jebusites, let him go up to the watercourse and strike the lame and the blind, who are hated by David’s soul.” Therefore they say, “The blind and the lame can’t come into the house.”

Da sprach David desselben Tages: Wer die Jebusiter schlägt und erlangt die Dachrinnen, die Lahmen und die Blinden, denen die Seele Davids feind ist...! Daher spricht man: Laß keinen Blinden und Lahmen ins Haus kommen.
