A bner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, “Whose is the land?” and saying, “Make your alliance with me, and behold, my hand will be with you, to bring all Israel around to you.”

Und Abner sandte Boten zu David für sich und ließ ihm sagen: Wes ist das Land? Und sprach: Mache einen Bund mit mir; siehe, meine Hand soll mit dir sein, daß ich zu dir kehre das ganze Israel.
