A t the return of the year, at the time when kings go out, David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David stayed at Jerusalem.

Con l'inizio del nuovo anno, nel tempo in cui i re vanno a combattere, Davide mandò Joab con i suoi servi e con tutto Israele a devastare il paese dei figli di Ammon e ad assediare Rabbah; ma Davide rimase a Gerusalemme.
