T hey mourned, wept, and fasted until evening, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of Yahweh, and for the house of Israel; because they had fallen by the sword.

حَزِنُوا كَثِيراً وَبكوْا، ولَمْ يَأكُلُوا حَتَّى المَساءِ. وَبَكَى داوُدُ ورِجالُهُ عَلَى شاوُلَ وَعَلَى ابْنِهِ يُوناثانَ اللذَينِ ماتا. وعَلَى كُلِّ مَنْ قُتِلَ مِنْ شَعبِ اللهِ إسْرائِيلَ، فِي المَعْرَكَةِ. داود يأمرُ بقتلِ العماليقيّ
