¿ Es Efraín el hijo predilecto para mí?, ¿es el niño mimado?; pues siempre que hablo de él, todavía me viene con fuerza a la memoria. Por eso mis entrañas suspiran por él; ciertamente tendré de él compasión, dice Jehová.

Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearneth for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith Jehovah.
