M ientras él estaba sentado en el tribunal, su mujer mandó a decirle: «No tengas nada que ver con ese justo, pues por causa de él hoy he tenido un sueño terrible.»

وَبَينَما كانَ بِيلاطُسُ جالِساً عَلَى كُرسِيِّ القَضاءِ، أرسَلَتْ زَوجَتُهُ إلَيهِ رِسالَةً تَقُولُ: «لا تَفعَلْ شَرّاً بِهَذا الرَّجُلِ البَرِيءِ، لِأنِّي كُنتُ مُنزَعِجَةً طَوالَ اللَّيلِ بِسَبَبِ حُلْمٍ يَخُصُّهُ.»
