E n ese oprobio nos hallamos. La vergüenza nos envuelve, porque desde nuestra juventud y hasta este día, nosotros y nuestros padres hemos pecado contra ti, Señor y Dios nuestro. ¡No hemos querido obedecer tu voz!»

Let us lie prostrate in our shame, and let our dishonor and confusion cover us; for we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers; from our youth even to this day we have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.
