C uando el faraón dejó ir a los israelitas, Dios no los llevó por el camino de la tierra de los filisteos, que estaba cerca; porque pensó: «No vaya a ser que haya guerra, y el pueblo se arrepienta de haber salido y se regrese a Egipto.»

When Pharaoh had let the people go, God didn’t lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and they return to Egypt”;
