E se día se ofrecieron numerosos sacrificios de animales. El pueblo entero, hombres, mujeres y niños, rebosaba de alegría porque Dios los había alegrado en gran manera. Era tal el alborozo que había en Jerusalén, que se escuchaba desde lejos.» Porciones para sacerdotes y levitas

and on that day they offered great sacrifices and rejoiced because God had given them great joy, even the women and children rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard from afar.
