J osías destruyó también el altar que estaba en Betel, y el altar del monte que había construido Jeroboán hijo de Nabat, que hizo pecar a Israel; destruyó aquel altar y le prendió fuego hasta reducirlo a cenizas, y le prendió fuego también a la imagen de Asera.

Moreover the altar that was at Beth-el, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, even that altar and the high place he brake down; and he burned the high place and beat it to dust, and burned the Asherah.
