y que han lanzado al fuego a sus dioses; pero es que ellos no eran dioses, sino hechura humana de madera y de piedra. ¡Por eso los destruyeron!

And have cast the gods of those peoples into the fire, for they were not gods but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. So they have destroyed them.
