E sta noticia llegó a oídos de Joab, que también había apoyado a Adonías, aunque no se había unido a Absalón. En cuanto lo supo, huyó al tabernáculo del Señor y se aferró a los cuernos del altar.

When the news came to Joab, for Joab had followed Adonijah though he had not followed Absalom, fled to the tent (tabernacle) of the Lord and caught hold of the horns of the altar.
