E ntonces David le dijo al mensajero: «Dile a Joab que no se preocupe por lo que pasó, pues la espada mata a unos y a otros, pero que refuerce su ataque contra la ciudad hasta conquistarla. Tú, por tu parte, infúndele ánimos.»

Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another; make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him.
