L a miezul-nopţii, Domnul a lovit pe toţi întîii născuţi din ţara Egiptului, dela întîiul-născut al lui Faraon, care şedea pe scaunul lui de domnie, pînă la întîiul-născut al celui închis în temniţă, şi pînă la toţi întîii-născuţi ai dobitoacelor.

At midnight the Lord slew every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the prisoner in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock.
