O chii mei s-au sfârşit de atâta plâns, iar măruntaiele-mi fierb; ficatul mi se varsă pe pământ, deoarece fiica poporului meu este zdrobită; copiii şi cei alăptaţi sunt leşinaţi pe străzile cetăţii.

My eyes fail from weeping, my emotions are deeply disturbed, my heart is poured out upon the ground because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, because infants and nurslings faint in the streets of the city.
