M untele Sinai era acoperit cu fum, pentru că Domnul S-a coborât pe el în foc. Fumul se înălţa ca fumul unui cuptor şi tot muntele se cutremura cu putere.

and mount Sinai wholly a smoke from the presence of Jehovah, who hath come down on it in fire, and its smoke goeth up as smoke of the furnace, and the whole mount trembleth exceedingly;
