I oab i-a dat lui David numărul bărbaţilor din popor: în tot Israelul erau un milion o sută de mii de bărbaţi în stare să meargă la război, iar în Iuda – patru sute şaptezeci de mii de bărbaţi în stare să meargă la război.

Joab gave up the sum of the census of the people to David. All those of Israel were one million one hundred thousand men who drew a sword; and in Judah were four hundred seventy thousand men who drew a sword.
