A poi Elisei s-a rugat zicând: „O Doamne, deschide-i ochii ca să poată vedea!“ Şi Domnul a deschis ochii slujitorului şi el a putut să vadă muntele plin de cai şi de care de foc în jurul lui Elisei.

Elisha prayed, and said, “Yahweh, please open his eyes, that he may see.” Yahweh opened the young man’s eyes; and he saw: and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire around Elisha.
