Î n acea perioadă, Menahem a pustiit Tifsa cu tot ce era în ea, precum şi ţinuturile ei dinspre Tirţa, fiindcă cei de acolo nu au vrut să-şi deschidă porţile. El a pustiit Tifsa şi a spintecat pântecele tuturor femeilor însărcinate. Domnia lui Menahem peste Israel

Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the borders thereof, from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.
