E l l-a întrebat: – De ce a venit stăpânul meu, regele, la slujitorul său? – Doresc să-ţi cumpăr aria, i-a răspuns David, pentru a zidi aici un altar Domnului ca astfel urgia care s-a abătut asupra poporului să înceteze.

And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the Lord, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
