D avid a fost înştiinţat că Ahitofel se află printre trădători, de partea lui Absalom. Atunci David a zis: „Te rog, Doamne, fă ca Ahitofel să-i dea sfaturi proaste lui Absalom!“

Someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” David said, “Yahweh, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”
