A tunci David i-a zis mesagerului: – Aşa să-i spui lui Ioab: „Să nu te întristeze lucrul acesta, căci sabia ucide când pe unul, când pe altul. Înteţeşte asediul asupra cetăţii şi distruge-o.“ Îmbărbătează-l în felul acesta.

Then David said to the messenger, Say to Joab, Let not this thing disturb you, for the sword devours one as well as another. Strengthen your attack upon the city and overthrow it. And encourage Joab.
