l e acque che scendevano dalla parte superiore si fermarono e si elevarono in un mucchio a una grandissima distanza, fino alla città di Adam che è vicino a Sartan; e quelle che scendevano verso il mare della pianura, il mar Salato, furono interamente separate da esse; e il popolo passò di fronte a Gerico.

Then the waters which came down from above stood and rose up in a heap far off, at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan; and those flowing down toward the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, were wholly cut off. And the people passed over opposite Jericho.
