I miei occhi si consumano in lacrime, le mie viscere si commuovono, il mio fegato si spande in terra per il disastro della figlia del mio popolo, al pensiero dei bambini e dei lattanti che venivano meno per le piazze della città.

My eyes do fail with tears, my heart is troubled; My liver is poured on the earth, because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, Because the young children and the infants swoon in the streets of the city.
