A llora lei disse: «Ti prego, invochi il re come testimone il Signore, il tuo Dio, perché il vendicatore del sangue non aumenti la rovina e non mi uccidano il figlio». Egli rispose: «Com’è vero che il Signore vive, non cadrà a terra un capello di tuo figlio».

Then she said, I pray thee, let the king remember Jehovah thy God, that thou wouldest not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy any more, lest they cut off my son. And he said, Jehovah liveth, there shall not one hair of thy son fall to the earth.
