D avid went out to meet them, and said to them, “If you come peacefully to me to help me, my heart shall be united with you; but if to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers look on it and decide.”

Y salió David a su encuentro, y les habló, diciendo: Si venís a mí en paz para ayudarme, mi corazón se unirá con vosotros; pero si venís para entregarme a mis enemigos, ya que no hay maldad en mis manos, que el Dios de nuestros padres lo vea y decida.
