K ahore i tawahi o te moana, hei meatanga mau, Ko wai o tatou hei whakawhiti ki tawahi o te moana, ki te tiki i tena mea ki a tatou, hei mea kia rongo atu tatou, kia mahi ai tatou?

Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, “Who will go over the sea for us, and bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?”
