A taahua tonu nga rau, he maha nga hua, a i runga i a ia he kai ma te katoa: i whai taumarumarunga iho nga kirehe o te parae i raro i a ia, i noho ano nga manu o te rangi i runga i ona manga, i reira hoki nga kikokiko katoa e kai ana.

The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was food for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the birds of the heavens dwelt in the branches thereof, and all flesh was fed from it.
