A ka mate nga matamua katoa o te whenua o Ihipa, te matamua a Parao e noho ana i runga i tona torona, a tae iho ana ki te matamua a te pononga wahine i tua i te mira; me nga matamua katoa a nga kararehe:

And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the maidservant who is behind the hand mill, and all the firstborn of beasts.
