T a te mea kua karapotia ahau e nga kino e kore e taea te tatau: mau pu ahau i oku kino, te ahei te titiro ake; he tini ke i nga makawe o toku matenga: a hemo iho toku ngakau.

For innumerable evils have surrounded me. My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up. They are more than the hairs of my head. My heart has failed me.
