N a ko ahau, tenei ahau te tuku atu nei i te waipuke ki runga ki te whenua, hei whakangaro i nga kikokiko katoa e whai manawa ora ana i raro i te rangi; a ka mate nga mea katoa i runga i te whenua.

And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon this earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is in the earth shall die.
