I ch aber sandte Boten zu ihnen und ließ ihnen sagen: Ich habe ein großes Geschäft auszurichten, ich kann nicht hinabkommen; es möchte das Werk nachbleiben, wo ich die Hände abtäte und zu euch hinabzöge.

I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I can’t come down. Why should the work cease, while I leave it, and come down to you?”
