L 'esprit de l'Éternel fut sur lui. Il devint juge en Israël, et il partit pour la guerre. L'Éternel livra entre ses mains Cuschan Rischeathaïm, roi de Mésopotamie, et sa main fut puissante contre Cuschan Rischeathaïm.

The Yahweh’s Spirit came on him, and he judged Israel; and he went out to war, and Yahweh delivered Cushan Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand. His hand prevailed against Cushan Rishathaim.
