A l loro apparire la gente gridava: «Allontanatevi, un impuro! Allontanatevi, allontanatevi, non toccatelo!». Quando fuggivano e andavano errando fra le nazioni dicevano: «Non potranno piú rimanere qui».

Depart! they cried to them, Unclean! depart, depart, don’t touch! When they fled away and wandered, men said among the nations, They shall not live here any more.
