U na visione terribile mi è stata mostrata: Il perfido agisce con perfidia e il devastatore devasta. Sali, o Elam. Stringi d'assedio, o Media! Ho fatto cessare ogni suo gemito.

A hard and grievous vision is declared to me: the treacherous dealer deals treacherously, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, O Elam! Besiege, O Media! All the sighing I will cause to cease.
