U scii di notte per la porta della Valle, nella direzione della sorgente del Dragone e della porta del Letame, ispezionando cosí le mura di Gerusalemme che erano piene di brecce e le sue porte che erano consumate dal fuoco.

And I went out by night by the valley gate, even toward the jackal's well, and to the dung gate, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire.
