A llora il profeta Scemaiah si recò da Roboamo e dai capi di Giuda, che si erano radunati a Gerusalemme per paura di Scishak, e disse loro: «Cosí dice l'Eterno: "Voi avete abbandonato me, perciò anch'io ho abbandonato voi nelle mani di Scishak"».

Now Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, who were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, “Yahweh says, ‘You have forsaken me, therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.’”
