M a il re Davide disse a Ornan: «No! Io lo voglio acquistare per l'intero suo valore, perché non prenderò per l'Eterno ciò che appartiene a te e non offrirò un olocausto che non mi costi nulla».

And King David said to Ornan, No, but I will pay the full price. I will not take what is yours for the Lord, nor offer burnt offerings which cost me nothing.
