O ra ecco, tu confidi sul sostegno di questa canna rotta, che è l'Egitto, che penetra nella mano di chi vi si appoggi e la fora. Tale è appunto il Faraone, re d'Egitto, per tutti quelli che confidano in lui.

Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.
