Q uindi prese i capi di centinaia delle guardie del corpo e delle guardie e tutto il popolo del paese; essi fecero scendere il re dalla casa dell'Eterno e, seguendo la strada della porta delle guardie lo condussero alla casa del re, dove egli si sedette sul trono dei re.

Jehoiada took the captains and the men who watch over the king, and the soldiers and all the people of the land. They brought the king down from the house of the Lord, by the way of the soldiers’ gate, to the king’s house. And he sat on the throne of the kings.
