P artito di là, trovò Jehonadab, figlio di Rekab, che gli veniva incontro; lo salutò e gli disse: «E il tuo cuore retto come il mio è verso il tuo?». Jehonadab rispose: «Lo è». «Se è cosí». disse Jehu, «dammi la mano». Allora egli gli diede la mano, cosí lo fece salire con sé sul carro e gli disse:

When Jehu left there, he met Jehonadab son of Rechab coming to meet him. He saluted him and said to him, Is your heart right, as my heart is with yours? Jehonadab answered, It is. If it is, give me your hand. He gave him his hand, and Jehu took him up into the chariot.
