A l tempo di Davide ci fu una carestia per tre anni continui, Davide cercò la faccia dell'Eterno e l'Eterno gli disse: «Questo avviene a motivo di Saul e della sua casa sanguinaria, perché egli ha fatto morire i Gabaoniti».

There was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David sought the face of Yahweh. Yahweh said, “It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put the Gibeonites to death.”
