C osì Abrahamo prese la legna per l'olocausto e la caricò su Isacco suo figlio; poi prese in mano sua il fuoco e il coltello e s'incamminarono tutt'e due insieme.

Then Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son, and he took the fire (the firepot) in his own hand, and a knife; and the two of them went on together.
