A brahamo si levò al mattino presto, prese del pane e un otre d'acqua e li diede ad Agar; mise tutto sulle sue spalle e la mandò via assieme al fanciullo. Così ella partì e andò errando per il deserto di Beer-Sceba.

And Abraham riseth early in the morning, and taketh bread, and a bottle of water, and giveth unto Hagar (placing on her shoulder), also the lad, and sendeth her out; and she goeth on, and goeth astray in the wilderness of Beer-Sheba;
