E ntonces Manahem exigió el dinero a Israel, a todos los ricos poderosos, de cada uno cincuenta siclos de plata para pagar al rey de Asiria. Y el rey de Asiria se volvió y no se detuvo allí en el país.

And Menahem bringeth out the silver Israel, all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Asshur, fifty shekels of silver for each one, and the king of Asshur turneth back and hath not stayed there in the land.
