T hus Joash, the king, did not remember the mercy which Jehoiada, his father, had done to him but slew his son; who said when he died, The LORD look upon it and require it.

No se acordó el rey Joás de la bondad que Joiada, padre de Zacarías, le había mostrado, sino que asesinó a su hijo. Y éste al morir dijo: “Que lo vea el Señor y tome venganza.”
